Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the Armstrong Smart Access FAQ hub. We are committed to providing premium smart hardware and backing it up with ongoing technical support for both our retail customers and trade partners. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for below, please reach out to our support team.

1. General & Support

Do you offer technical support if I get stuck during installation? Absolutely. We pride ourselves on providing ongoing, comprehensive technical support for all our products. Whether you are a DIY homeowner or a trade professional on a job site, our team is ready to assist you with setup, network bridging, and troubleshooting.

Can I get wholesale pricing for commercial projects? Yes. We have a dedicated Trade program for professional installers, builders, and commercial clients. Please visit our Trade page to open an account and access exclusive pricing.

2. Smart Door Locks & Security

What happens if the batteries in my smart lock go flat? You will never be locked out. Our smart locks give you plenty of low-battery warnings. If the standard AA batteries do run completely flat, devices like the PALADIN and GAFFER feature a built-in USB backup port so you can power them externally, as well as a traditional mechanical key override.

Will your smart locks fit a standard Australian mortice? Our locks are designed for maximum versatility. We offer adjustable backsets and support a wide range of mortice options (including Single latch, 85 Series, 5050, and 72 Series) to suit both glass, wooden, and metal door frames.

3. Smart Outdoor & Irrigation

Do the Wi-Fi weather stations require mains power? No, our professional weather stations and outdoor sensors are designed with solar panels and battery backups. This ensures continuous, low-maintenance operation without needing to run complex wiring through your garden.

Can the smart tap valves operate independently of the weather station? Yes. While integrating them with a smart weather station allows for advanced automated watering schedules based on real-time climate data, our smart tap valves and soil moisture meters can absolutely be operated as standalone units via the smartphone app.
